Alpha Universal manufactures TG7 Self-Piercing Eyelets. The eyelets are made from Stainless Steel (304) or Brass.
The eyelets are self-piercing. The female part of the eyelets, also known as the washer, has teeth that grip onto PVC, Ripstop Canvas and other materials. The teeth hook into material when crimped together with the male part of the eyelet. A hole is made in the material when the male and female are crimped together using an Eyelet Closing Tool. When rope is thread through the eyelets and pulled tight, the teeth prevent the eyelets from tearing out of the material.

The TG7 eyelets have an inside dimeter of 12.5mm and an outside diameter of 26.5mm. Stainless Steel and Brass are both rust free and both metals are equal in strength, allowing for outdoor use.
The Brass Eyelets can be colour coated in black (black passivated coating) or nickel (nickel plated). Stretchcord or bungee cord of up to 12mm thickness can weave through the or TG7 eyelet comfortably and hook onto a lacing hook.
