Hook and loop consists of two parts, the hook or male part featuring tiny hooks, and the loop or female part consisting of even smaller and “hairier” loops. Hook-and-loop fasteners have been used for a wide variety of applications where a temporary bond is required. It is especially popular in clothing, bags and luggage where it replaces buttons or zippers. Other applications include lapa covers and bakkie covers.
