A Collapsible saddle is made from stainless steel, making them suitable for outdoor use. Collapsible saddles are made up of a D shaped ring that is cover with a metal plate, this metal plate almost resembles butterfly wings. The 2 butterfly wings each have a hole in the centre, these holes are used when bolting the Collapsible saddle to a pavement or other flat surface. When the Collapsible saddle is secured to a surface, the D ring can move freely from side to side. The Collapsible saddle uses 2 bolts to secure it unlike the Fish Plates that only requires 1 bolt.
